TEXAS WORK-BASED LEARNING / AGRICULTURE INDUSTRY
The Work-Based Learning (WBL) and Agricultural Industry (AI) awards are designed to recognize students actively enrolled in work-based learning or agricultural industry courses that have developed exceptional skills and confidence in their chosen agricultural industry or occupation and have demonstrated leadership in the local chapter, school, and community.
Applications must advance through district and area competition before arriving at the state level. State winners in each WBL system and AI field will be recognized on stage during the Texas FFA convention and will receive a plaque and $500 scholarship.
Members must submit an application and go through an interview process at the area level in order to be selected for Texas FFA scholarships. Each area association submits scholarship finalists to the state scholarship committee for final scholarship application review and interview.
To find out more about WBL/AI scholarships and the application process, visit the Texas FFA website. Please contact your local FFA advisor to determine local deadlines for submitting an application.
If you are a Texas WBL/AI scholarship recipient, your funds are administered by the Texas FFA Foundation. Please contact the following for information about having your scholarship funded to your college/university:
