SOUTHWESTERN EXPOSITION & LIVESTOCK SHOW
The Southwestern Exposition & Livestock Show (also the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo) has a mission to advance education by providing learning opportunities as an ongoing part of Stock Show events, and by funding research grants and scholarship endowments at a variety of educational institutions.
The Southwestern Exposition & Livestock Show began providing scholarships to Texas FFA members in 1981. They continue to provide scholarships on an annual basis. In 2006, the Southwestern Exposition & Livestock Show presented two Texas FFA members with a $4,000 scholarship. Thank you for your dedication to the youth of the Texas FFA!
Members must submit an application and go through an interview process at the area level in order to be selected for Texas FFA scholarships. Each area association submits scholarship finalists to the state scholarship committee for final scholarship application review and interview.
To find out more about applying for an academic scholarship, contact Kimberly Porter at the Texas FFA. Please contact your local FFA advisor to determine local deadlines for submitting an application for the Texas FFA scholarships.
If you are a Southwestern Exposition scholarship recipient, your funds are administered by the Texas FFA Foundation. Please contact the following for information about having your scholarship funded to your college/university:
