The San Antonio Livestock Exposition, Inc. (also the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo) has always understood that education is vital to the American agriculture industry. SALE recognizes that many young people and educators today come from urban backgrounds and have little knowledge of the opportunities available to them in the world of agriculture. Their goal is to promote awareness of such programs.
Texas FFA members began receiving scholarships for SALE in 1984. Each year, Texas FFA members capable of realizing their educational dreams because of the assistance of SALE. In 2006, SALE awarded 4 members with $15,000 scholarships and 9 members with $12,000 scholarships. Thank you for your dedicated support of the Texas FFA!
Members must submit an application and go through an interview process at the area level in order to be selected for Texas FFA scholarships. Each area association submits scholarship finalists to the state scholarship committee for final scholarship application review and interview.
