ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIPS

    IF YOU ARE A FIRST-YEAR RECIPIENT having your scholarship funded for the first fall semester, you DO NOT need to send in an information sheet, grades, or update letter. Please only send in your fall semester schedule, signed acceptance agreement, and copy of thank you letter to the Texas FFA Foundation and the original to the sponsor of your scholarship. 

     

    IF YOU ARE RENEWING YOUR SCHOLARSHIP To have scholarship payment sent to the university for the FALL SEMESTER, student must submit the following items to the Texas FFA Foundation no later than July 1: 

    • Spring semester grades showing current and cumulative GPA (refer to policy statement for GPA standards)
    • Fall semester schedule (download from the internet is acceptable)
    • Annual information sheet (if there is any change to your information)
    • Copy of letter to scholarship sponsor (original letter mailed directly to scholarship sponsor) that includes an update about spring semester accomplishments

    To have scholarship payment sent to the university for the SPRING SEMESTER, student must submit the following items to the Texas FFA Foundation no later than January 2: 

    • Fall semester grades showing current and cumulative GPA (refer to policy statement for GPA standards)
    • Spring semester schedule (download from the internet is acceptable)
    • Copy of letter to Scholarship Sponsor(original letter mailed directly to scholarship sponsor) that includes an update about fall semester accomplishments

     

    To have scholarship payment sent to the university for the SUMMER SEMESTER*, student must submit the following items to the Texas FFA Foundation no later than May 1:

     

    • To have scholarship funded, the student must make request in writing prior to summer enrollment
    • Spring semester grades showing current and cumulative GPA (refer to policy statement for GPA standards)

    Due by September 1:

    • Summer school grades current and cumulative GPA (refer to policy statement for GPA standards)

     

    To continue receiving the scholarship, the recipient must meet the following requirements:

    • 2.0 minimum cumulative and current GPA; 2.5 for some scholarships (refer to specific scholarship policy statement)
    • Enrollment in 12 hours per semester 
    • Pursuit of a course of study leading to a 4-year degree (enrollment in community or junior college is permissible but limited to four semesters)
    • All paperwork must be received on or before the deadline unless prior arrangements have been made
