Foundation Ambassador Program

The Texas FFA Foundation is preparing to select a special group of Texas FFA members to assist with the FFA Convention. Ambassadors serve as the official liaison with sponsors, special guests and dignitaries on behalf of the Texas FFA. It is an honor to be chosen as an Ambassador. Being part of the Foundation Ambassador program includes an important commitment, but one that will be a wonderful learning experience and a great resume builder. It is high-energy and sometimes stressful, but well worth the networking opportunity.

We want students, parents and agriculture teachers to be well aware of the commitment being made when applying to be a Foundation Ambassador. If chosen for the program, students should expect to be involved in Ambassador activities throughout the entire FFA Convention. It is encouraged for potential ambassadors to sit down and discuss this opportunity with their agriculture teacher BEFORE applying. Teachers must be willing to support your time commitment to the program as well as bring you and pick you up on time.

In addition to a selection committee who will review applicants, a round of interviews may be employed during the State FFA Degree Check. Once selected, the commitment begins with training on Monday, July 6, which will equip ambassadors with information, background and skills to assist in having a successful week as a Foundation Ambassador. An Ambassador will gain useful knowledge about how professional networking and event planning works.
