A MISSION THAT MATTERS

The blue corduroy fabric of the FFA Organization has been a recognized staple despite trends and societal influences. Like the fabric, our weave of young people has maintained itself as one of the top youth organizations in the nation. Agricultural education in Texas is recognized nationwide as innovative, coupled with strong youth programs such as the Texas FFA, which is a training ground for future local, state and national leaders. The Texas FFA provides opportunities for both students in urban and rural settings. With a mission to "Preserve the Strength and Future of the Texas FFA," the Texas FFA Foundation was established to provide a mechanism by which the Texas FFA affiliates, and other supporters, could independently provide a strong agricultural education system with dynamic programming and services.

The Texas FFA Foundation is a way of building on past successes while providing new avenues for young people to excel. Because of the large numbers of students and schools involved and the variety of subjects taught in an ever-changing industry, agricultural leaders recognize the need for assistance to teachers as well as students. The Texas FFA Foundation provides a way for businesses and industry, other foundations and individuals to contribute financially, and through designated gifts, to the growth of scholarships and programs services which help provide for the continued strength of a distinguished youth program.

  • The Foundation takes pride in its ability to provide educational support to a diverse population through a multitude of scholarship opportunities and comprehensive character, career and technology education programs.
  • Technology changes everyday and becomes more and more important in daily life. FFA members remain on the cutting edge of technology. Many students participate in hands-on learning opportunities and experience the future of agriculture. Over 250 chapters are now online with personalized Web sites created by teachers and students.
  • Texas FFA members are offered a diverse multitude of activities in which to be involved. From traditional agricultural experiences, such as production agriculture, to nontraditional experiences, such as the Texas FFA Chorus pictured to the left, members have the opportunity to participate in an activity that interests them and spotlights their unique talents.
  • By providing diverse opportunities that match the interest of every FFA member, more members have the opportunity to excel. The Texas FFA helps members develop confidence through award achievement. This allows Texas FFA members to become successful and involved citizens of their respective communities.
